Russell Welfare-kind Veal
All our veal is
carefully reared, and we only source veal from farms where quality
and welfare is paramount. Our calves live in spacious, well-lit and
well-ventilated barns (never cages or crates), and live in
companionable social groups. The calves enjoy a natural diet of
calf milk and green maize, which gives them the opportunity to
'chew the cud', and independent inspectors make sure that the
highest welfare standards are upheld.
All our veal comes specilaist farms in Holland, and stringent
systems mean every cut can be traced back to its origins.
We also properly mature it, just like our beef, and cut it to the
highst kitchen ready standards, ready to make delicious
meals.

Welfare-kind Veal Steaks
At Donald Russell we sell a range of veal steaks to pan fry,
including thinly sliced Veal Escalopes, Veal Loin Steaks which are
cut in the same way as a Sirloin, and Veal Rib Steaks with the bone
left in for the finest flavour. The Veal Taster box gives contains
a selection of each of these gourmet treats.
Welfare-kind Veal Roasts
If you're entertaining and you really want to make an impression
our exquisitely prepared Veal 4-Bone Rib provides the perfect
solution. This delicately flavoured roast is the crème de la crème
of gourmet dining.
Other Welfare-kind Veal Cuts
Our expert butchers have prepared supremely tender Calf's Liver to
a high kitchen ready standard so it's ready to cook. This product
has proved immensely popular as it's not as strongly flavoured as
traditional ox liver.
